The dynamic world of Calisthenics

Figure March

Figure March is a disciplined routine where performers execute precise and synchronised marching patterns and formations. Set to music, it emphasises teamwork, coordination, and spatial awareness. The routines often involve intricate geometric patterns and sequences, requiring the team to move in unity, showcasing their collective precision and harmony.

Club Swinging

Club Swinging is a rhythmic routine involving the twirling and swinging of clubs. This discipline emphasises coordination, timing, and dexterity, as performers execute intricate patterns and sequences with the clubs. The routine requires a harmonious blend of strength, flexibility, and precision, showcasing the performer’s ability to synchronise movements fluidly, creating a visually compelling and dynamic display of skill.

Free Exercises

Free Exercises are choreographed routines set to music, performed without any props. These routines emphasise flexibility, strength, posture, and rhythm, showcasing the performer's technique and expressiveness. Merging stretches, balances, leaps, and other core movements, the goal is to display fluidity, synchronisation with music, core strength, and graceful agility.

Rod Exercises

Rods involve choreographed routines with a straight metal rod, synchronised to music. The rod acts as an extension of the performer, highlighting precision, coordination, and rhythm. Blending dance, gymnastics, and twirling techniques, this discipline demands seamless integration of the rod's and dancer's movements, showcasing a blend of grace, strength, and skill.

Aesthetics/Rhythmical Aesthetics

Aesthetics is a discipline focused on graceful and synchronised group movements, set to music. It emphasises fluidity, harmony, and seamless transitions, capturing the essence of beauty and artistic expression in physical form. Performers work together to create visually stunning patterns and formations, showcasing unity and precision.

Calisthenics Revue

Calisthenics Revue is a vibrant showcase of the diverse routines and disciplines within Calisthenics. Often presented as a theatrical production, it blends dance, gymnastics, and rhythmic exercises to highlight the sport's versatility and artistry. Performers dazzle with a mix of group numbers and solo pieces, offering audiences an immersive experience of Calisthenics' creative and athletic potential.
