Naomi Armstrong
PRINCIPAL, TINIES & SUB JUNIORS COACH
Naomi began her Calisthenics journey at age 5 at Irise College, mentored by principals Iris Dunn and Lyn Turner from Sub-Junior to Senior levels. Transitioning to Canadian Bay in 1980, she also assisted the inaugural Victorian State team Juniors. Calisthenics coaching brings Naomi immense joy, especially witnessing the girls relish the sport and stage performance. In 2009, Naomi's dedication was recognised when she ascended to Principal of Canadian Bay Calisthenics College.

Charlotte Ponchard
TINIES COACH
Charlotte has dedicated 25 years to Calisthenics, showcasing her talent from Tinies to Seniors and securing Ballarat Aggregates and representing Victoria at the Nationals during Juniors. Retired from performing, she passionately coaches Tinies, solos, and levels. Outside of Calisthenics, Charlotte is a Speech Pathologist for children, enjoys Pilates and traveling. Her love for the sport extends to witnessing students grow and nurturing their development, forming lifelong friends through the club.

Tara Boyce
TINIES COACH
With 19 years in Calisthenics, all at Canadian Bay, Tara's journey began at age 3. By 13, she advanced to an Assistant Coach and secured her level-one certification in 2020. Outside Calisthenics, Tara passionately serves as a teacher's aide across the Peninsula, showcasing her commitment to education. Canadian Bay Calisthenics College isn't just a training facility to her; it's family. Tara's dedication to Calisthenics and education epitomises her pursuit of personal growth and enriching others' lives.

Kathy Russell
VICE PRINCIPAL, SUB JUNIORS COACH
Kathy brings 50+ years of Calisthenics experience, 30 spent at Canadian Bay. Her 20 years at Regent have garnered her titles like Gold Medalist and ASC Graceful winner, plus a runner-up spot at St RSS Graceful. Beyond Calisthenics, she enjoys volunteering, traveling, gardening, and family time. For Kathy, Canadian Bay Calisthenics College symbolises "family." Her vibrant passion extends to sharing her profound calisthenics love with others, embodying her devotion and expertise.

Cathy Margrie
VICE PRINCIPAL, SUB JUNIORS COACH
‘Aunty’ Cath commenced Calisthenics at the age of 6 with Beaumaris College, under Pat Miles and Joy Fildes when at Jason. After a hiatus, she joined Highett's Senior team under Wendy Scorer while assisting with Sub-Juniors. Cathy moved to Sydney and on her return she resumed as Highett's Intermediates Assistant Coach. Cathy joined the Canadian Bay family as a Coach in 2003. Over 16 years, 7 nieces graced the club, with 4 currently active. Cathy's mantra is to encourage all the students to be their best, work hard and have fun.

Kerryn Sullivan
SENIORS COACH
Kerryn Sullivan has 34 years in Calisthenics and 30 at Canadian Bay Calisthenics College. She has notable credits including State Team placements from 1996-2006 and Gold Medal. Amidst her achievements, Canadian Bay holds a significant camaraderie. Balancing her Calisthenics career, Kerryn is also a chiropractor and a devoted mum of 4. Her journey symbolises a blend of passion for the sport and dedication towards fostering a supportive environment within and beyond the Calisthenics community.
